Bite Sized Entries: My Favourite Trio Of All Time!

They are my favourite trio, overtaking many influential and talented groups of three’s as number one, on my personal list of top 10 favourites.

One Director.
Two Actors.
One huge idea.
Numerous works of arts!
Countless acts of genius!

Who am I talking about? Helena Bonham Carter, Johnny Depp and Tim Burton, of course!

It’s unsurprising that Helena and Tim are domestic partners and Johnny is a very close friend of theirs. The magic wouldn’t have happened if the chemistry wasn’t there! They make movie magic. Tim Burton’s movies are creations of a unicorn's arse, only those who appreciate art would fully understand them.

Helena and Johnny play the most peculiar roles - roles that not many actors and actresses wouldn’t even dream of auditioning for. They play their part so well that you can’t help but love them and their character’s quirks.

I love them on-screen and off-screen. Who can’t help but love these three? They create art.

Johnny Depp is often misunderstood, as an actor and sometimes even as a person. You might or might not know what I’m getting at, but what I am saying is as real as it gets.

Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter and Tim Burton are artists, they have that stroke of genius and marvel at the chaos of the mind to create something that wouldn’t only intrigue the audience, but often manage to let even the boring have their share of “fun". They add that “grey" to the black and white world we choose to live in.

I could go on and on about these three, but the point that I end up highlighting is the fact that Tim Burton, Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Depp are gifts to the film industry. Valuable gems. A rarity. Something that comes once in a blue moon. And I love them, as individuals and as a pack.

They send a message that highlights what is most important: quirks can be appreciated, not everything is what it seems.

You don’t have to follow the crowd.

Long live, the beautiful Helena.
Long live, the amazing Mr. Depp.
Long live, the glorious Tim Burton.

New Obsession: TV Addicts - Skins UK

I am a little late but, I have finally gotten into this UK show called Skins. The first 10 minutes of watching it and I knew that this was something I could actually get addicted to. It took me a while, but with the help of Wikipedia and Youtube, I’ve gotten really deep in the Skins not-so-crazy Craze.

I’ve just started watching the show a few weeks ago and had a 2 day marathon.  I immediately fell in love with Maxxie and Tony even though Maxxie, is well, Gay and I happen to be a girl... But I don’t really care. Maxxie is fit and there is no point trying to deny it. I hesitated a little bit with Tony because… How do I put this?… He has quite feminine features and in some angles, he looks like a girl. But there are really good shots of him looking heart-wrenchingly fit and that’s when I started becoming crazily obsessed.

I found Michelle bland but I started seeing her in a whole new light in “Michelle”.  Michelle is quite boring in a way but I guess her character is supposed to be the so-called  “normal” one.

I found Sid really awkward and… Numb. But he was kind of cute, in some way. He was a virgin at the start of the series and the first episode consisted of Tony trying to get his bestfriend to lose his v-card. Sid seems kind of weak in way, kind of like an underdog of some sort. To be quite honest, compared to Tony, he is very much the 'loser' of the two. I liked him as well.

Anwar has a good storyline as well, he is stuck between his faith in his religion and his friendship with Maxxie. It is okay for Muslims to be friends with Gays as long as they don’t participate in "such acts". The faster Anwar learns this, the better. Maxxie doesn’t understand either, Anwar should talk Maxxie and explain to him nicely. He probably did and I might’ve missed that part, but oh well.

Maxxie is one of the only 'openly gay' charecters on TV. Yes, he does get some bullying for it but he actually handles it better than most homosexual teenagers would. Maxxie is fit, he can dance, he is self-assured... Maxxie is definitely one of my favourite charecters. The other thing that I love so much about this show is that it Maxxie's sexuality isn't a big deal. It's just who he is. There isn't much of an issue and you rarely see that in teen dramas.

Chris is the “dumb”, absent-minded character with a tiny dick. He seems to have the most problems but he acts like the complete oppasite. He parties and has the time of his life and his home life is the most broken.

Jal, who has problems of her own, will always remind Chris of his tiny little friend. That was the moment i shipped them! Jal is struggling with what she wants and what other people expect from her. I don't really have much to say about Jal, in fact, i think she's the most normal of the group. She robbed Michelle of the title!

I loved Jal and Chris, but there was Angie. I just love a Love Triangle. Especially, one as interesting as that. Jal, Chris and Angie. Granted, Chris and Jal’s relationship seems quite platonic in the first series but anything can happen!

I love Effy. I didn’t pay much attention to her until the episode “Effy”. We got to know another side of Tony. The nice, vulnerable side. The fact that Effy says very, very little proves that less is more and makes her seem Mysterious though sometimes disconnected.

Cassie! I loved her the moment she came on-screen! She reminds me of a tamer Luna Lovegood and I love that. She seems like she's slightly off-her-rocker but it makes the her character interesting. Cassie also suffers negligence.

I watched the series one finale last night and can I just say “oh…wow!”. The team of actors and writers on the show are amazing! The script was GENIUS and the acting was A+++! I am just starting to watch Series 2 but I have decided to take a break because the feels from the first season are still alive and at full throttle!

My BFF Story: The Introduction

I was the queen of the playground. I was confident, loud and snarky. I thought i was THE star... But that was kindergarten. I was six. Things change.

When i reached primary school, things took a turn. The classes jumped from 5-7 students in a class to almost 140 students per batch. Of course, i was crazy nervous.
I was BRICKING! The only person i knew was a girl i recognised to be my grandparents' neighbour. She was my age and we got along.

I stuck with familiar things. I dislike change and i love patterns and routines. I stick with the familiar- in the comforts of certainty.

My social skills were phenomenal in kindergarten but horrendous in primary school. It was hard for me. I also happened to be very naive and "nice". The epitome of good girl. Well, a good girl in some ways. I wasn't much of Homework fan. I was, apparently, innocent. I stayed to the back, reading a book, feeling sorry for myself.

Dream Harry Potter Spin-Off's #1

Dream Harry Potter Spin-Off’s (Part 1)

If Jo Rowling DID create a spin-off (sequel, prequel, ect.) of the Harry Potter series, i have a few characters i want it to be about or centered around. Harry got his happily ever after (we have seen/read about the epilouge) so id doubt there will be anymore books about him. Harry has had enough, we can all agree on that, let him have his peace.

NO. 1 (pre-quel)
The MARAUDERS Era: I would like to read The Marauder’s Story. From the time they first met to their reactions towards James’ death. I want to know the details of the Marauder’s time at Hogwarts. James’ epic fails of trying to ask out Lily, Remus’ struggles with lycantrophy, Sirius’ family-troubles and resistance of his family’s dark tendencies. Peter’s loneliness and troubles, what drove him to the point of betraying his best friends. I want to know the Marauder’s story as well. How was James during his teen years? The process of James’ flip, from being an ‘arrogant toe rag’ to a man Lily would date. The pranks the marauders pulled, we all want to know about that, right? Well, i do. They sound very interesting. Think about a younger Remus, a younger sirius, two unhappy men who lost their bestfriend so tragically in the war, actually happy and carefree? I would like to read about the Marauders time at hogwarts. Yes, i do. That is a story worth reading (after the HP series of course).

Review: The Wanted EP (album)

For my first blog post, I am going to write a review of British-Irish Boyband - or LadBand as they call themselves- The Wanted's, latest album: Their self-titled EP (extended play). The EP was released April 24th earlier this year in the US and Canada via Mercury Records. The EP consists of tracks -mostly singles- from The Wanted's previous albums, The Wanted and Battleground, and a couple of new tracks including the danceable song, Chasing The Sun. The EP's overall score is 7/10, it is good but there is always room for improvement. A song on the EP, titled Sattelite is a good track and I would like to see it as single one day. Glad You Came, is, of course, on the EP.

Glad You Came, the fresh, dancey tune that helped The Wanted, "break" America. Their debut single, All Time Low is also on the EP, a good tune that got straight to number 1 in the British charts and countless other countries.

Lightning, the dancey synth-pop track that got to Number 2 on the British singles chart as well is also on the EP.

Furthermore, we have Heart Vacancy, A true boyband-y song that was given to 4 diffrent artists before The Wanted finally recorded it.

Heart Vacancy, the mix of pop, RnB, indie pop and electro pop can bring girls to tears when sung live.

Gold Forever, A song taken as the lead single from their second studio album was the official  2011 Comic Relief charity single.

The album is great but not AMAZING but it is worth picking up. (Not worth the RM42 I paid for it, though.)

The  track listing is as follows;
1.Glad You Came
2.Chasing The Sun
3.All Time Low
4.Satellite
5.Lightning
6.Heart Vacancy
7.Gold Forever
8.Lose My Mind
9.Warzone
10.Rocket
